Great news for internship students!
The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded funding to the Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling for the purpose of improving the availability of culturally sensitive behavioral health services across the life span in the Appalachian region. The funding provides $10,000 stipends for Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy interns in their final year of study who are completing 6 to 12 months consecutive internship. Recipients must be willing to commit to providing behavioral health services across the lifespan for rural, vulnerable, and/or medically underserved communities upon graduation.
Great job to Drs. Caldwell and Rosen for their work on this grant.
