Big congratulations are in order for second year CMHC student Tyler Deal who was recently awarded the $1,000 Peg Carroll Scholarship by the Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW) division of the ACA. The purpose of the award is to support the study of group work and further the understanding of group dynamics.
Tyler is going to use the award monies to obtain more trauma training. In part, this information will be applied to her work with oncology patients in the expressive arts program that she founded and facilitates at the local Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center.
